COLLECTION & DELIVERY POLICY
At Machao, each creation is unique—just like your delivery needs.
That’s why every request is handled individually, depending on your preferences, the size of your order, and your location.
In general, you are asked to contact us after placing your order to arrange collection or delivery.
You can reach us by email at hello@machao.design or by phone at +32 (0)472 54 34 72 during shop opening hours.
Your order will be reserved for 30 calendar days from the date of purchase. After this period, Machao reserves the right to put all or part of the order back on sale if no collection or delivery has been arranged. No compensation may be claimed in such cases.
You have three options:
1. In-store collection
You can collect your purchase at the atelier-boutique—and take the opportunity to say hello.
Machao Design

Collection takes place during opening hours, upon presentation of your proof of purchase.
Please contact us beforehand to make sure we are open.
Collection can also be carried out by a third party (a friend, colleague, family member, etc.), as long as they bring the proof of purchase.
To select this option, choose “IN-STORE COLLECTION” when placing your order and contact us to arrange pickup.
2. Delivery arranged by you
You may organize your own delivery through a carrier of your choice, at your own expense.
In this case, you coordinate the pickup with Machao, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Responsibility is transferred to the carrier once the order has been handed over.
Good to know: we recommend peer-to-peer delivery services, especially for international shipments. Reliable platforms include Cocolis, WayToMe, BringForYou.
They are often faster, more cost-effective, and more sustainable.
To select this option, choose “IN-STORE COLLECTION” at checkout and contact us to arrange the pickup.
3. Delivery arranged by Machao
Europe only.
If you prefer Machao to handle everything, the cost will depend on your location and the size and weight of your order.
To proceed, contact us with your full details: name, address, phone number, and email.
Select “DELIVERY” at checkout and contact us to finalize the arrangement.
Although this option may appear as free on the website, delivery costs will be calculated afterwards and must be paid before or at the time of delivery.
Once this option is chosen, the purchase is final. However, you may still switch to in-store collection if needed.
In that case, the collection policy (sections 1 and 2) applies—just let us know.
We will find the most suitable solution for you among:
Mondial Relay
Suitable for small to medium-sized items within Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Delivery to a pick-up point or directly to your address.
Conditions:
Maximum weight: 30 kg
Maximum length: 120 cm
Max dimensions (L + W + H): 150 cm
Typical items: cushions, throws, pouches, tableware, lamps, stools.
Cost: between €7 and €50
Examples:
Two cushions shipped to Namur: €10 (pick-up point)
One stool shipped to Italy: €35
Machao Mobile
Belgium only.
Suitable for medium to large items, as long as they fit in the Machao Opel Combo.
Delivery within Brussels: €50
Outside Brussels: on request
Good to know: the Machao Mobile can transport 6 to 8 chairs or a sofa.
External carriers
For all sizes, across Europe.
We select and coordinate the appropriate carrier for your delivery.
Examples:
6 chairs or a sofa to Louvain-la-Neuve: €75
6 chairs or a sofa to Paris: €300
