Large jar in Delft Dutch earthenware, hand-painted with a delicate cobalt blue floral decoration and an elegantly worked lid.
A very handsome piece of old storage, typical of 1960s European kitchens, as decorative as it is useful.
The front carries the word suiker, Dutch for sugar, while the back shows only a floral decoration, which makes it easy to repurpose: in the kitchen for coffee, biscuits or utensils, in a bathroom for cotton wool or accessories, in a laundry room, a study or an entrance hall as a pretty storage jar.
